If you attended the 1994 NMRA National Convention: “Columbia Gorge Express,” this was the convention hotel.

The Red Lion is quite convenient to the NMRA Convention hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton, by either car or MAX light rail transit and to the National Train Show’s location at the Expo Center by free hotel shuttle. Transit day passes are quite inexpensive at $5 adult or $2 for seniors and a 7-day pass costs $26 adult or $7 for seniors. The savings in the hotel rate will nearly cover these fees.

The Red Lion offers large guest rooms, several restaurants, relaxing views of the Columbia River, complimentary parking, free in-room wi-fi, swimming pool, spa and tennis courts. Nearby is the extensive Jantzen Beach shopping center with a wide variety to stores & shops.

or phone the hotel directly. For call ins, attendees need to call the hotel main number at 503-283-4466 and just say they are with the National Model Railroad Association, not NMRA the entire name. The national reservation number apparently does not have the group rate info.
